Under the theme of “Innovation, responsibility, integrity and cooperation”, the 37th China Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest (CASTIC) was held in China Optics Valley Convention & Exhibition Center in Wuhan, capital city of middle China's Hubei Province from 21 to 25, 2023.

The contest was co-sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League (CYL), the All China Women's Federation (ACWF), and the People's Government of Hubei Province.

Totally around 800 finalists and science educators across China and 50 plus international competitors from 13 countries took part in the event.

442 entries from a variety of youth S&T innovation contests and 202 entries from local-level S&T instructor’s science education innovation achievement competitions were shortlisted for the final evaluation.

After 5 days of judging assessment and exhibition, top 10 excellent S&T instructors were screened out.

24 first class prizes, 57 second class prizes, and 81 third class prizes for innovative works of S&T instructors were awarded.

58 first class prizes, 129 second class prizes, and 182 third class prizes for innovative projects of young scientists were announced.

4 entities among the 1st class prize winners were bestowed the special award from CAST president which represented the highest honor.

CASTIC is designed and organized for science-loving students. After more than 30 years development, CASTIC is now the most prestigious and largest science contest in Asia for young scientists from all parts of the world.

Besides contest, all participants have chance to engage in science and technology activities, experience various local cultures and traditions and build a friendship for lifetime through different exchanging activities during the CASTIC.

The 38th CASTIC is expected to be held in Tianjin in 2024.
